Job summary

The Y NSW is seeking a Casual Introductory OSHC Educator to help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for school-aged children before and after school, and during vacation care.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to obtain WWCC (or state equivalent) and First Aid.
  • Relevant childcare/education/community services qualification (or studying) is desirable.

  • Supervise children during activities, meals, and transitions.

Operating hours
  • Before School Care: 6:30am - 8:30am
  • After School Care: 3:00pm - 6:00pm

We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team as a Casual Introductory OSHC Educator.

About the Role

As a Casual Introductory OSHC (Outside School Hours Care) Educator, you will play a meaningful role in creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for school-aged children before and after school, as well as during vacation care programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of engaging and age-appropriate programs for school-aged children
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for all children and families
  • Assist in supervising children during activities, meals, and transitions
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Contribute to the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children in your care
  • Follow all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as required

  • Current or willingness to obtain a Working With Children Check (or state equivalent)
  • Current or willingness to obtain a First Aid certificate
  • A relevant qualification in childcare, education, or community services (or currently studying) is desirable but not essential
