Job summary

The Y NSW is seeking an enthusiastic OSHC Educator to join our Ettalong Beach team. This role is ideal for a student currently studying a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, Bachelor of Education, Teaching, Youth Work, Community Services, or a related degree, who already has OSHC experience.

You’ll play an important role in creating a safe, inclusive and engaging space where children can learn, explore and thrive.

Qualifications

  • Experience in OSHC, vacation care, childcare or school-aged care.
  • Currently studying or willing to commence a Diploma or Degree in Children’s Services.
  • Valid Working with Children Check and current First Aid/CPR
  • Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building with children and families.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging activities and experiences for primary school-aged children.
  • Support children's wellbeing, development and learning.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and school communities.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and child-focused environment.
  • Work collaboratively with a passionate team to deliver high-quality OSHC programs.
  • Support program planning, reflection and continuous improvement processes.

Essential Requirements
  • Experience working within an OSHC, vacation care, childcare or school-aged care setting
  • Currently studying or willing to commence a Diploma or Degree relevant to Children's Services
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Reliable, energetic and passionate about supporting children and families
  • Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.
  • Current First Aid qualification (HLTAID012)
  • Current CPR qualification (HLTAID009)
  • Child Protection qualification
