Job summary

The Y Australia is seeking a casual OSHC Educator to create engaging activities for primary school children at our OSHC services. You will design inclusive programs, support children across NSW, and coordinate with coordinators.

Ideal candidates have First Aid and Working with Children checks, enjoy flexible hours, and may travel to different locations within the region. A pathway to permanent roles is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising and interacting with children.
• Ability to follow safeguarding priorities.
• Availability to supervise Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care hours.
• Current First Aid HLTAID012 and CPR certification.
• Valid Working with Children Check.
• Police Check (paid for by The Y)

Responsibilities

• Provide fun, engaging activities for primary school-age children.
• Help design a calendar of inclusive, exciting, and engaging program activities.
• Reporting to the Coordinators of our OSHC centres, you will be one of over 200 educators who support children across NSW.
• Follow safeguarding policies and develop your skills within the Y NSW OSHC network.

We're seeking a passionate casual educator to support children at our OSHC service in Ambarvale. You must be available for a minimum of 3 weekdays per week and willing to travel to other locations in the region if required. For the right candidate, there's even an opportunity to transition into a permanent role!

Our Out-of-School-Hours Educators are the sharp minds and friendly faces inspiring and influencing the next generation of young people. Acting as both teacher and role-model to young students from over 50 NSW Schools, you'll provide engaging, exciting and interactive activities through our Before School, After School and Vacation Care services.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience supervising and interacting with children
• Ability to follow safeguarding priorities

• Valid Working with Children Check
• Police Check (paid for by the Y)
