Only About Children Bridgeman Downs is seeking an Advanced Educator to provide high-level educational practice, professional leadership and mentoring within the campus. You’ll support curriculum delivery, strengthen child-safe and inclusive practice, and help build educator capability across rooms.

This role suits someone ready to bring confidence, professional judgement and a strong focus on continuous improvement into the daily rhythm of the campus.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
• Experience as a senior educator or mentor.
• Knowledge of EYLF, NQF, child development and inclusive practice.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis.
• Excellent communication, mentoring and relationship-building.
• Commitment to child-safe leadership and continuous improvement.
• Current Working with Children Check and state clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and elevate educational practice aligned with EYLF and Grow Curriculum.
• Mentor educators to apply reflective and inclusive teaching.
• Support curriculum planning, observations and assessments.
• Model child safe practice and positive behaviour guidance.
• Contribute to Quality Improvement Plan actions and campus-wide improvement.
• Support Room Leaders with day-to-day problem-solving.

What you’ll do

• Lead and support high-quality educational practice aligned with the EYLF and OAC Grow Curriculum.
• Mentor educators to apply intentional teaching, reflective practice and inclusive learning strategies.
• Support curriculum planning, observations and assessment to inform meaningful learning experiences.
• Model child safe practice, professional interactions and positive behaviour guidance across the campus.
• Contribute to Quality Improvement Plan actions, self-assessment and campus-wide continuous improvement.
• Support Room Leaders and campus leadership with day-to-day problem-solving and quality practice.
• Build respectful relationships with families, educators and children while promoting children's voice and agency.

What you’ll bring

• Completed Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or approved equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior educator or mentoring role.
• Strong working knowledge of the EYLF, NQF, child development and inclusive practice.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
• Strong communication, mentoring and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to child safe leadership, continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Current Working with Children Check and relevant state-based child protection clearance.
