Job summary

Wonder Years Early Learning Centre in Auburn, NSW, seeks an Educational Leader and Room Leader to guide daily education in your room while shaping the service-wide program and ensuring a warm, inclusive environment.

You will mentor educators, support curriculum planning and documentation, and reflect on practice to deliver high‑quality teaching aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a room with responsibility for educational program delivery.
• Mentoring and supporting educators in curriculum planning.
• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Commitment to child safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment in your room with children's wellbeing at the center of practice.
• Guide development and implementation of the educational program across the service.
• Mentor and support educators with curriculum planning, documentation, assessment, and reflective practice.
• Connect the Early Years Learning Framework, current theory, and children's interests to meaningful experiences.
• Ensure a consistent approach to high-quality teaching across rooms while respecting each child's needs and voice.
• Build positive relationships with children and families, and support educators to do the same.
• Provide active supervision and ensure health, safety, and protection of children at all times.
• Identify and respond to child safety concerns in line with policies and reporting obligations.
• Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and quality practice across the service.
• Observe, document, and reflect on children's learning and development.
