Responsibilities

• Lead Educational Program Planning – develop, implement and evaluate leisure-based programs.
• Create meaningful learning experiences that support wellbeing, identity, learning and communication.
• Support and extend quality practice with the OSHC team to enhance the educational program.
• Promote inclusive participation and foster strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Assist with observations, documentation and the development of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
• Contribute to continuous improvement and participate in holiday and before/after care programs.

Permanent Part Time OSHC Educational Leader position at our White Rock Campus

Before and after school shifts plus an additional 5 hours per week for program planning and documentation(minimum of 20 hours per week, increased up to 38 hours per week for Vacation Care)

$31.34 to $39.86 per hour + WRP + educational leader allowance (rates based on qualification and experience) + 12.75% superannuation

Why This Role Matters

As our OSHC Educational Leader, you will support the delivery of engaging, high-quality programs that enrich the experiences of primary-aged children. Working alongside the OSHC Coordinator and educator team, you will inspire, motivate and guide educators through collaboration, inquiry and reflective practice helping to strengthen pedagogy and achieve positive outcomes for children and families.

This role includes 5 hours per week ‘off the floor’ dedicated to program planning, reflection, documentation and evaluation.

About the Role

In this role, the successful applicant will:

• Lead Educational Program Planning – Develop, implement and evaluate engaging leisure-based programs aligned with the My Time, Our Place framework.
• Create Meaningful Learning Experiences – Design activities and experiences that support children's wellbeing, identity, learning, communication and connection with their world.
• Support and Extend Quality Practice – Work collaboratively with the OSHC Coordinator and educator team to continually reflect on and enhance the educational program.
• Promote Inclusive Participation – Foster an environment where all children feel safe, valued, included and empowered to participate.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement – Assist with observations, documentation and the development of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
• Build Positive Relationships – Develop strong partnerships with children, families and colleagues to support positive outcomes for every child.
• Work as Part of the Educator Team – Continue to actively participate in before school care, after school care and vacation care programs as an educator.

Our TAS OSHC Service is offered on all school days, including pupil‑free days (closed public holidays and for 2 weeks over Christmas each year).

• Before School Care operating hours are 7:00am to 8:30am
• After School Care operating hours are 3:00pm to 5:45pm

Vacation Care operates during school holidays and on pupil‑free days and combines excursions, theme‑based days, specialty clubs and incursions.

You Will Also Bring

• Diploma in Children's Services (or similar qualification), or working towards attainment (preferred)
• Knowledge of the My Time, Our Place framework and National Quality Framework (desirable)
• Experience in OSHC, Vacation Care or a similar children's service environment
• Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012 preferred)
• Current CPR Certificate (HLTAID009)
• Blue Card for working with children
