Job summary

Buttercups Childcare in Western Australia is seeking a Centre Leader to shape educational excellence and manage day-to-day operations. You will lead the educational program, collaborate with the Centre Manager, and guide staff to deliver high-quality care aligned with our values.

You will foster a positive, inclusive culture, mentor educators, and advocate for ongoing professional development while ensuring a welcoming environment for children and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or ACECQA approved equivalent.
• Room Leader experience is essential; Educational Leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and Education and Care Regulations.
• Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to establish and nurture positive relationships with staff, children and families.
• Solid computer skills and CCS software navigation (Xplor/OWNA preferred).
• Current First Aid, WWCC, and Police Clearance (or onboarding eligibility).

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with the Centre Manager to manage daily operations and administrative tasks.
• Serving as Educational Leader for program development, implementation, and reflection.
• Mentoring and guiding educators to ensure best practices and professional development.
• Fostering a positive workplace culture with focus on care and educational outcomes.
• Supporting the team in planning and practice, providing on-floor guidance.
• Working with a Community of Practice to drive a curriculum that nurtures learning.
• Overseeing room and outdoor environment presentation to welcome children and families.
