Job summary

Buttercups Childcare in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Centre Educational Leader/Room Leader to shape and drive high-quality programs. You will collaborate with the Centre Manager to oversee daily operations and implement a holistic learning framework for children.

You will mentor educators, lead reflective practice, and contribute to a positive workplace culture that values professional growth and exceptional care for families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA approved equivalent.
• Room Leader experience is essential, Educational Leadership experience highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards, and Education and Care Regulations.
• Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to establish and nurture positive relationships with staff, children and families.
• Solid computer skills; experience with CCS software (Xplor, OWNA) is highly regarded.
• Current First Aid, WWCC, and Police Clearance or ability to obtain on onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Centre Manager to manage daily operations and administrative tasks of the Centre.
• Serve as Educational Leader for development and reflection of a high-quality program aligned with our values.
• Inspire, mentor and guide educators to ensure best practices and ongoing professional development.
• Foster a positive workplace culture that prioritises exceptional care and educational outcomes.
• Support the team in programming and practice, offering on-floor guidance and assistance.
• Work with Buttercups Community of Practice to drive a curriculum that nurtures a love of learning in children.
• Oversee the presentation of each room and outdoor environment to create a welcoming atmosphere for children and families.
