Job summary

Only About Children Camberwell seeks an Educational Leader to guide pedagogical practice across the campus and coach educators, Room Leaders and teachers in curriculum, reflection and quality learning.

You will nurture children’s voices, cultures and interests, lead assessments, and strengthen documentation and planning while collaborating with families and supporting continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a room or team in early childhood.
• Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQF, and Child Safe Standards.
• Proven ability to mentor educators and facilitate reflective practice.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills; WWC clearance.

Responsibilities

• Guide educational practice across the campus and coach educators, Room Leaders and teachers in curriculum, reflection and quality learning.
• Listen to children’s voices, cultures and interests to deepen learning.
• Guide the assessment and planning cycle to support learner progress.
• Strengthen documentation, intentional teaching and reflection practices.
• Involve families by connecting input to curriculum decisions.
• Support QA processes including QIP, self-assessment and Assessment and Rating preparation.
• Build educator confidence through coaching and inquiry.

About our Camberwell campus

At Camberwell, my day feels modern, busy and full of learning. I arrive on Toorak Road, close to gardens, train stations, trams and parking. The campus feels polished and well set up, with spaces that help children learn in different ways.

I explore nine indoor rooms, including kindergarten spaces for building, numbers, words and art. Outside, I can play in refreshed yards with sand, climbing, slides and a veggie patch. I can hear many languages, follow my interests and feel capable in a campus full of ideas.

About the role

As Educational Leader, you will guide educational practice across the campus and coach educators, Room Leaders and teachers in curriculum, reflection and quality learning.

What you'll bring

• Early Childhood Teaching qualification preferred, or Diploma or higher.
• Experience leading a room or team.
• Understanding of the EYLF, NQF, Child Safe Standards and inclusive practice.
• Understanding of curriculum theory and educational leadership.
• Confidence mentoring educators and leading reflection.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• A Working with Children Check and relevant clearance.
