Job summary

The Department of Education Victoria – Shepparton VIC is seeking an Education Support Class employee to assist in the Shepparton English Language Centre at St Georges Road Primary School. The role focuses on delivering EAL intensive English tuition support and coordination of educational programs for new arrival students over 6–12 months with supervision under a principal and school team.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate III in Education Support.
• Proficiency in four languages: English, Dari/Hazaragi, Hindi & Urdu.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Completion of Further and Advanced Mathematics at VCE Year 12.
• Experience with both primary and secondary students.
• Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Administrative and operational support within a school setting.
• Coordinate student transport logistics and school events.
• Support the Language Centre Co-ordinator and data-entry tasks.
• Provide direct student welfare support and onboarding.
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and EAL materials.
• Engage with families and diverse communities to promote inclusion.
