Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking a Teacher of Ageing and Disability to deliver and assess Certificate III in Individual Support at our St Leonards campus. You will share industry expertise and create engaging learning experiences to help students build skills and confidence for careers in aged care and disability support.

Occasional travel to the Northern Beaches may be required. The role is permanent part-time (14 hours per week) with salary packaging and generous superannuation provisions.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent required.
• Minimum three years industry experience within the last five years.
• Evidence of a teaching qualification to deliver VET.
• Willingness to travel to the Northern Beaches occasionally.

TAFE NSW is seeking a Teacher of Ageing and Disability to deliver and assess Certificate III in Individual Support at our St Leonards campus. In this rewarding role, you will share your industry expertise, create engaging learning experiences, and support students to build the skills and confidence needed for successful careers in aged care and disability support.

While the role is primarily based at St Leonards, occasional travel to the Northern Beaches may be required to support training delivery.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will:

1. Hold appropriate subject knowledge and skills, and at minimum hold a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent.
2. Have a minimum of three years industry experience relevant to your qualifications, gained no longer than five years previously.
3. Hold evidence of the required teaching qualification to deliver Vocational Education and Training (VET). See the candidate support document here for details.
4. Be prepared to develop and maintain your VET knowledge and skills as well as your industry currency, and trainer/assessor competence.
