Job summary

Presbyterian Ladies’ College (PLC) invites applications for a Payroll Officer. This full-time, permanent role is based in Melbourne’s leafy east and provides end-to-end payroll support for fortnightly and monthly payruns.

The successful candidate will hold a qualification in Payroll or Finance, have at least five years’ senior payroll experience in education, and be proficient with Australian payroll legislation, EBAs and Modern Awards.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Payroll, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 5 years as senior payroll specialist in education.
• Knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and EBA/Modern Awards.
• Experience with Synergetic Payroll or equivalent.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and deadline-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end payroll support for fortnightly and monthly payruns.
• Collaborate with Payroll Administrator to support growth and development.
• Interpret EBAs and Modern Awards and ensure accurate payroll calculations.
• Meet deadlines with precision and attention to detail.
