Education Manager, UNSW Canberra

Employment type: Fixed-term contract, full-time (35 hours)
Duration: 12 months

Remuneration: Level 8 from $132,445 + leave loading = 17% super
Location: UNSW Canberra, City Campus

Why Your Role Matters

This is an exciting period of growth for our new Institute of Public Policy. The Education Manager is responsible for leading the planning, development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Institute of Public Policy's education portfolio. The role ensures the Institute delivers high-quality, professionally relevant education programs that support UNSW's strategic objectives to establish the Institute as Australia's leading provider of applied public policy education. The position leads the operational management of the education portfolio, including program development, quality assurance, educational systems, academic operations and continuous improvement. programs while ensuring an outstanding learner experience. The Education Manager leads to the strategic growth of the Institute's education portfolio through effective planning, stakeholder engagement, governance and continuous innovation.

Accountabilities

The Education Manager operates with significant autonomy to manage the Institute's education operations and contributes to the development of the education portfolio. This is a professional, as opposed to academic role. Our successful candidate will not be expected to contribute to the content of the courses but the structure, process and frameworks of the Institute.

Who You Are (skills and experience)
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and or post graduate qualification with substantial experience in higher education, executive education or professional learning, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Post graduate qualifications are highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience managing education programs from planning through delivery and evaluation.
  • Experience developing operational systems and processes supporting education delivery.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum implementation, education quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Experience coordinating multiple education projects and managing competing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work collaboratively across academic and professional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse education performance data and implement improvements.
  • Well-developed project management, organisational and communication skills.
  • Experience supervising staff or coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
