Job summary

Sophia College is seeking an experienced Business Manager to join the school leadership team in Plainland. This full-time fixed-term role concentrates on financial management, facilities oversight and day-to-day operations within a dynamic Catholic school community.

The successful candidate will lead budgeting, reporting and procurement, coordinate safety and compliance, and partner with staff, families and external providers to deliver reliable services and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in financial management, budgeting and reporting.
• Ability to coordinate facilities, procurement and contracts.
• Proven leadership and collaboration with staff and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial management, budgeting, forecasting and audit readiness.
• Oversee facilities, maintenance, capital works, procurement and contract management.
• Coordinate WHS, risk, compliance and emergency planning.
• Manage business administration, systems, records and processes.
• Support payroll, HR administration and workforce planning.
• Build productive relationships with staff, families and suppliers.
• Instigate and market events through collaboration and shared ownership.
• Nurture staff wellbeing with a hands-on, supportive presence.
• Collaborate with the principal and school leadership team.
