Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education Office is seeking an experienced Business Manager for Sophia College, Plainlands (Plainland, QLD). The role leads financial and administrative operations, ensuring budgeting, procurement, risk management and regulatory compliance are delivered with strategic focus and integrity.

You will work closely with the principal and leadership team, overseeing facilities, payroll support, and stakeholder engagement while guiding the school through a fixed-term 12-month program

Qualifications

• Experience in financial and operational management in schools.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with discretion.
• Experience in regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial management, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and audit readiness.
• Oversee facilities, maintenance, procurement and contracts.
• Coordinate WH&S, risk, compliance and emergency planning.
• Manage administration systems, records and operational processes.
• Support payroll and HR administration.
• Build relationships with staff, families and suppliers.
• Lead school events and coordinate external partners.
• Support wellbeing and leadership team collaboration.
