Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking experienced Mechanical Quality Inspectors to join our Engineering Construction team installing wind turbine generators in Nullagine, WA. The role covers inspection across mechanical, piping and structural works, with emphasis on meeting project specifications and quality standards.

You will review ITPs, verify material traceability, witness inspections and manage NCRs, while liaising with construction teams and clients to ensure quality is achieved.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical QA/QC Inspector on mining, resources, oil & gas, or industrial projects.
• Familiar with inspection standards and project specifications.
• Knowledge of inspection and test planning (ITPs) and quality documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical, piping, structural and related construction works to meet project specs.
• Review ITPs and QA documentation for compliance.
• Verify material traceability and certification per requirements.
• Record inspections, tests and test reports accurately.
• Identify and close out NCRs and punch items.
• Coordinate with teams and clients to ensure quality.
• Support continuous improvement and quality best practices.

Monadelphous is seeking experienced Mechanical Quality Inspectors to join our Engineering Construction team installing wind turbine generators in Nullagine, WA

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspection and quality assurance activities across mechanical, piping, structural and associated construction works.
• Perform inspections of installed equipment, piping systems, structural steelwork and mechanical assemblies to verify compliance with project specifications, codes and standards.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation, work packs and project procedures.
• Verify material traceability, certification and compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning activities to ensure quality requirements are met.
• Witness and record mechanical inspections, pressure testing, hydrotesting, bolt tensioning and other critical quality hold points.
• Identify, raise, track and close out Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), punch list items and field quality issues.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports and quality dossiers throughout project delivery.
• Liaise with construction teams, subcontractors and client representatives to ensure quality requirements are understood and achieved.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote quality best practices across the project.

What you’ll bring

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Quality Inspector, QA/QC Inspector or Mechanical Inspector within mining, resources, oil & gas, energy, construction or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, piping and structural installation and inspection requirements.
• Experience reviewing and implementing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality documentation and project specifications.
• Sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards, industry codes and quality management systems.
• Experience managing material traceability, verification records and quality turnover documentation.
• Mechanical trade qualification, engineering qualification or relevant industry experience.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Strong understanding of AS/NZS ISO 9001 quality systems and quality assurance processes.
