Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced E&I Quality Inspector for a wind farm construction project in the Pilbara. The role involves overseeing electrical & instrumentation inspections during turbine assembly and installation, with a 2:1 FIFO roster.

This fixed-term opportunity offers site uplift and a project completion bonus, with potential for long-term work within Monadelphous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with E&I quality inspections in resources or renewables.
• Understanding of Australian and international standards and codes.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel.
• Ability to work safely at heights.
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Proof of right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

Job description

Monadelphous is seeking an experienced E&I Quality Inspector to join our Engineering and Construction division on a new Wind Farm construction project in the Pilbara, for a major mining client. It's a new technology platform, first of its kind to be built in Australia, starting with a 17 turbine pilot and potential for the project to scale significantly.

In this role, you will oversee electrical & instrumentation inspections during the assembly and installation wind turbines.

This is a fixed term, opportunity on a FIFO 2:1 roster

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and verify E&I installation activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, approved procedures, applicable standards, and client requirements.
• Conduct field inspections and surveillance of electrical and instrumentation works to verify quality requirements are met.
• Review, complete, and manage Inspection and Test Records (ITRs), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance within the Completion Management System (CMS).
• Plan, coordinate, schedule, and witness inspections and testing activities in collaboration with E&I Supervisors, construction teams, subcontractors, commissioning personnel, and client representatives.
• Verify that installation, testing, and pre-commissioning activities are completed in accordance with approved procedures, project specifications, and relevant standards.
• Develop and maintain quality tracking registers and reports to monitor installation progress, cable testing, system completions, punch lists, and handover readiness against project milestones.
• Assist with the progressive compilation, review, verification, and close-out of Manufacturing Data Records (MDRs), ensuring documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted in accordance with project and client requirements.
• Ensure inspection, test, and quality records are maintained and readily available to support audits, system completions, turnover, and final handover activities.
• Promote a quality-focused culture and ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project requirements.

What you’ll bring:

• Previous experience with E&I Quality Inspections in the resources or renewable energy sectors
• Sound working knowledge of Australian and international standards and codes
• Highly competent ability in computer skills including MS Word and MS Excel
• Ability to work comfortably at heights
• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence
