Job summary

MGC Civil is seeking a skilled plant operator to work across active project sites in and around Perth, WA. The role is full-time and permanent, offering a competitive salary and superannuation.

The successful candidate will operate earthmoving plant, attach/detach equipment, and perform routine maintenance, with compliance to safety and site procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• White Card.
• WA recognised Operator ticket.
• 12 months experience in civil construction.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment medical.
• Great attitude and willingness to work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position plant for operation.
• Select/attach/detach buckets, winches, scoops, blades and hammers.
• Operate controls to excavate, break, drill, level, move, load and spread materials.
• Monitor plant operation and adjust controls for safety of workers.
• Raise/lower attachments using manual and hydraulic controls.
• Work from drawings, markers and verbal instructions.
• Service, lubricate, clean and refuel plant; perform minor repairs.

About The Role

• This role is based across all MGC active project sites in and around Perth, WA
• Full Time, Permanent
• $100,000-$120,000pa + Super
• Preparing and positioning plant for operation
• Selecting, fitting and removing attachments such as buckets, winches, loading scoops, shovel blades and rock breaking hammers
• Operating controls to excavate, break, drill, level, compact, gouge out, move, load and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil and other materials
• Monitoring operation of plant and adjusting controls to regulate pressure, speed and flow of operation, and ensuring safety of other workers
• Raising, lowering and manipulating attachments using manual and hydraulic controls
• Working from drawings, markers and verbal instructions
• Servicing, lubricating, cleaning and refuelling plant and performing minor adjustments and repairs

About You

• Valid drivers licence and reliable transportation
• White card
• WA recognised Operator ticket
• 12 months experience in a similar role within Civil Construction
• Willing to undergo and pre-employment medical
• Great attitude and a willingness to work
