Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships in partnership with a leading automotive company is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic person to start their career as a Light Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice. You’ll earn while you learn, gaining a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology while developing your skills in a professional workshop alongside experienced automotive technicians.

This is full-time employment with above-award wages.

Qualifications

• Passionate about cars and hands-on work.
• Keen to learn and build a long-term career in automotive.
• Reliable, motivated and safety-conscious.
• A strong team player with good communication skills.
• Interested in developing practical and technical skills.
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and Drug & Alcohol test.
• A current driver’s licence is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs.
• Learning how to diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle faults.
• Inspecting and working on brakes, engines, suspension and other components.
• Using workshop tools, equipment and diagnostic technology.
• Following technical information and service procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop.
