Job summary

Stabilised Pavements of Australia – Somersby NSW is seeking a motivated Diesel Mechanic Apprentice to join our team. This is a full-time role offering hands-on training and a nationally recognised trade qualification.

You will assist with maintenance, servicing and repair of heavy machinery, learn to use a wide range of tools, and support fitters in workshop and field tasks while following safe work practices and contributing to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in mechanics and working with machines.
• Willingness to learn and commit to completing a trade qualification.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and a positive attitude.
• Driver’s licence (provisional acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with maintenance, servicing, and repair of heavy machinery.
• Learning to use a wide range of tools and equipment.
• Supporting fitters with day-to-day workshop and field tasks.
• Following safe work practices and contributing to a positive team environment.
