Job summary

Transport for NSW is offering a Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprenticeship in Yennora, starting March 2027. This fixed-term, full-time program combines paid work with structured training toward a Certificate III in Automotive Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology through TAFE.

Applicants should be Australian or NZ citizens or permanent residents, have Year 10 (RoSA) or equivalent, and hold a C Class licence or be working toward it.

Qualifications

• Australian or NZ citizen or permanent resident.
• Completed Year 10 or have RoSA or equivalent.
• Ready to commence full-time in March 2027.
• Hold or be obtaining a C Class driver licence.
• Access to reliable transport to travel to the office or depot.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or near live traffic.
• Willing to travel as part of the role.
• Basic computer literacy and a proactive learning attitude.
