Job summary

Transport for NSW invites applicants to join the Civil Construction Apprenticeship commencing March 2027 at Heatherbrae and Nabiac. This 3-year, full-time program offers paid work combined with structured training to achieve a Certificate III in Civil Construction.

No prior experience required; you will gain hands-on, on-site experience while developing essential skills in communication, teamwork, and problem solving through real projects and classroom sessions.

Qualifications

• Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident.
• Year 10 or RoSA completed or equivalent.
• Ready to commence full-time employment in March 2027.
• Hold, or are obtaining, a C Class driver licence.
• Access to reliable transport to travel to the office or depot.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or near live traffic as required.
• Willing to travel as part of your role.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Demonstrate teamwork and maintain a positive, accountable approach in all you do.
• Require time management and stay organised to meet commitments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 3-year fixed-term, full-time Apprenticeship with paid work and structured training.
• Attend practical, on-the-job experiences and classroom sessions to gain a NSW qualification.
• Gain hands-on Civil Construction experience at Heatherbrae and Nabiac sites.
• Develop key workplace skills including effective communication, teamwork and problem solving.
• Meet recruitment timelines and complete pre-employment checks as required.
