Job summary

Transport for NSW is offering a Civil Construction Apprenticeship based in Fernbank, NSW, starting March 2027. This is a 3-year fixed-term, full-time program designed to earn while you learn, with hands-on site experience and structured training.

You’ll gain a Certificate III in Civil Construction (Road Construction and Maintenance) through in-person classes at TAFE, develop core workplace skills, and explore clear career pathways within a supportive NSW Government agency.

Qualifications

• Must be Australian/New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Completion of Year 10 or RoSA or equivalent.
• Ready to commence full-time employment in March 2027.
• Hold, or are in the process of obtaining, a C Class driver licence.
• Access to reliable transport to travel to the office or depot.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or near live traffic as required.
• Willing to travel as part of the role.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Earn while you learn with paid work and structured training to develop practical, in‑demand skills for a career in civil construction.
• You’ll gain hands‑on experience and work towards a nationally recognised qualification.
• No previous experience is required.
