Department of Education Victoria's new Yurran P-9 College in Werribee South seeks graduates to join its founding staff as a Range 1 classroom teacher in the early years. You will contribute to a collaborative team, delivering literacy and numeracy programs within a supportive, inclusive environment that values wellbeing and student growth.

Under guidance, new entrants will plan, teach and assess across the curriculum, engage in induction and professional learning, and participate in policy

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy teaching.
• Ability to implement high impact teaching strategies and monitor student learning.
• Capacity to use data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with staff, students and families.
• Commitment to reflecting on practice and engaging in professional learning.

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement a range of teaching programs across year levels.
• Teach an area of the curriculum and monitor student progress.
• Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in key learning areas.
• Implement strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
• Maintain records of attendance and student progress.
• Work with a mentor to develop professional practice and a portfolio.
• Contribute to policy development, project teams and co-curricular activities.
