Yurran P-9 College invites graduates to join our founding team as a Primary - Early Years teacher. You will contribute to a new school setting, focus on building foundations in literacy and numeracy, and implement evidence-based teaching with a strong wellbeing framework.

The role offers collaborative PLC-driven professional learning, mentoring from experienced teachers, and opportunities to grow as we expand from Foundation to beyond.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the curriculum and capacity to address diverse student learning needs.
• Ability to implement high impact teaching strategies guided by student learning.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning using data and feedback.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents and colleagues.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning and reflective practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study.
• Teach an area of the curriculum to a year level.
• Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in key learning areas.
• Implement strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
• Maintain records of class attendance and student progress.
• Work with a mentor to plan and implement professional development.
• Supervise student activities and contribute to co-curricular programs.
