Job summary

Delaware North Australia is hiring a part-time Kitchenhand at Melbourne Airport. You will maintain cleanliness, handle food preparation tasks, and support the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires availability on Fridays and Sundays from 4:30am to 12:30pm, with opportunities for ongoing training and career progression within our global hospitality network. As part of a busy airport environment, you’ll adhere to WHS and food safety standards while delivering quality service

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand or sandwich hand.
• Must have Food Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area.
• Conduct temperature and quality checks, manage cross-contamination to meet Food Safety standards.
• Support kitchen team in establishing and sustaining an organised workspace.
• Take on hands-on cleaning duties: sweeping/mopping, washing dishes and utensils, waste disposal, operating a dishwasher, handling cleaning chemicals.
• Execute food preparation tasks within a commercial kitchen environment with good food presentation.
