Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Kitchenhand to join our team at Adelaide Airport. This role combines the responsibilities of a Sandwich Hand and a Kitchenhand, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and enjoys variety in their day-to-day tasks.

You’ll craft fresh sandwiches and support broader kitchen operations—maintaining cleanliness, order, and efficiency in the back of house while upholding Food Safety standards and WHS requirements.

Competenze

• Experience as sandwich hand or kitchenhand.
• Food Safety Certificate required.
• Willing to work a 7-day rotating roster.

• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Perform temperature and quality checks and manage cross-contamination to meet Food Safety standards.
• Assist kitchen team in maintaining an organized and efficient workspace.
• Carry out hands-on cleaning duties including washing dishes, mop floors, waste disposal, and operating a dishwasher.

The opportunity

Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Kitchenhand to join our team at Adelaide Airport. This role combines the responsibilities of both a Sandwich Hand and a Kitchenhand, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and enjoys variety in their day-to-day tasks.

You’ll be crafting an array of fresh sandwiches while also supporting broader kitchen operations – ensuring cleanliness, order, and efficiency in the back of house.

What will you do?

• Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area
• Conduct temperature and quality checks, effectively managing cross-contamination to ensure WHS compliance, displaying a strong commitment to meeting Food Safety standards
• Support kitchen team members in establishing and sustaining an organised and efficient workspace
• Take on hands‑on cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors, washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, waste disposal and management, operating a commercial dishwasher, and handling cleaning chemicals
• Execute food preparation tasks within a commercial kitchen environment, showcasing excellent food presentation skills

More about you

• Previous experience in a sandwich hand or kitchenhand
• Food Safety Certificate
• Passion and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work a 7 day rotating roster
