Job summary

Bakers Delight East Sunbury is seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic Baker Apprentice to join our brand new store in East Sunbury (Kingsfield Estate). You will learn to mix, process and bake a full range of traditional, artisan, and sweet doughs including sourdoughs and continental breads.

Shifts start early, with training at our Sunbury bakery prior to opening, and you will gain hands-on experience with the latest equipment while delivering quality product and great customer service.

We have an opportunity available now for a hardworking and enthusiastic Baker to join our team at our brand new Bakers Delight store in East Sunbury (Kingsfield Estate). We are seeking an Apprentice that already has some experience and a Qualified Baker.

** Bakers Delight East Sunbury is being fitted out with the below leading equipment pieces -

Bowl lifts (So no hand scaling doughs),

Semi-automated volumetric dividers (no handling & moulding every piece divided).

East Sunbury bakery opens on 20th Nov!!!

We are onboarding new team members NOW and training in advance of the opening date at our existing Sunbury bakery with the same equipment and processes available.

If you are someone who loves to get up early to make the most of the day, to earn a crust, to do a job you love, then you are exactly the type of person we want at Bakers Delight! As an Apprentice, learn to Mix, Process and scratch bake a full range of Traditional, Artisan, and Sweet Doughs including Sourdoughs, Poolish and Continental based breads.

At Bakers Delight, our Bakers are responsible for:

Baking and presenting quality product to meet changing customer needs

Maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the bakery

Providing delightful customer service when required

Assisting with stock control and production expenses

To be considered for this 'roll', you will need to:

Have a passion for baking

Be willing to enter into an apprenticeship, or demonstrate successful completion of prior learning in the baking industry

Be a morning person! Most shifts commence from 4am

Have a positive attitude, love working in a team environment and learning new skills

Be prepared to work hard and love getting your hands dirty

Have basic literacy and numeracy skills

Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident as temporary visa holders are not eligible for this apprenticeship

*To be eligible for an Australian Apprenticeship you must be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident. Apprentices will receive formal training and support from day one.
