Green Leaves Early Learning in Brisbane is seeking a qualified Chef to plan and prepare nutritious meals for children from 6 weeks to 6 years. You will lead the kitchen, manage stock, budgeting and ordering, and ensure high food safety standards.

You’ll mentor a kitchen hand, deliver fun culinary classes with Educators, and enjoy our Green Leaves Work Perks, including a childcare discount, onboarding support, wellness initiatives and free breakfast coffee.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate current.
• Working with Children's Check current and state-specific.
• National Police Clearance obtained in the last 6 months.
• National Child Safety Training certificates current.
• First Aid and CPR (HLTAID012) current.

Responsibilities

• Plan an interesting and exciting menu for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old.
• Prepare a wide variety of nutritious meals and purees, respecting dietary requirements.
• Autonomously manage the kitchen with stock rotation, budgeting and shopping.
• Ensure highest level of food safety and supervision according to guidelines.
• Mentor and guide a kitchen hand in a professional environment.
• Provide thoughtful culinary classes with Educators for young learners.
