Job summary

About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and caring individual to commence an 18-month Childcare Traineeship, working towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children and wants to build a rewarding career in the early childhood sector.

You will gain valuable hands‑on experience while being supported by experienced educators and completing your nationally recognised qualification.

Duties

• Supporting the care and education of children aged 6 weeks to 5 years
• Promoting child safety and wellbeing in line with centre policies and procedures
• Assisting with daily routines and learning activities
• Interacting positively with children, families, and educators
• Helping to set up and pack away learning environments
• Assisting with food preparation and mealtimes
• Supporting hygiene practices, including cleaning duties and nappy changes
• Contributing to programming and activities tailored to individual children's needs
• Working across different rooms and age groups as required

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous exposure to Children's Services, CAFS studies, volunteering, babysitting, or similar experience will be highly regarded but is not essential

The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to commencement.
