Job summary

Rise & Shine Kindergarten, Maroochy River 2, is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. This full-time role offers 38 hours per week at our Sunshine Coast location, with a strong focus on holistic development and a loving, supportive workplace.

You will design inclusive play-based programs, observe and document progress, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with NQS and EYLF. Requirements include an Early Childhood Teaching Degree or Graduate Diploma, First Aid, Working with

Qualifications

• Requires Early Childhood Teaching Degree or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
• First Aid certification and a valid Working with Children Check/Blue Card.
• National Child Safety training.
• Leadership experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing inclusive, play based learning programs that foster children's development.
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children's social, emotional and cognitive growth.
• Observing, assessing, and documenting children's learning progress to inform curriculum planning.
• Building strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to enhance learning outcomes.
• Promoting language and literacy development through storytelling, role play and interactive experiences.
• Ensuring compliance with the NQF and EYLF.
• Leading and mentoring educators to maintain high quality early childhood education and care.
• Communicating effectively with families to discuss children's progress, needs, and developmental milestones.

• You have a deep understanding of children's developmental stages and are excited about implementing best practices.

• You have a strong knowledge of NQS, EYLF, and the Education and Care Services National Regulations.
• Leadership experience is preferred.

What You'll Need:

• At least 1 year of work experience
• Early Childhood Teaching Degree or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
• First Aid certification and a valid Working with Children Check/Blue Card.
• National Child Safety training.
• Desirable: Asthma & Anaphylaxis and Child Protection Training.
