Job summary

Rise & Shine Kindergarten in Maroochydore is hiring an Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Maroochy River 2. The role is full-time, 38 hours per week, with a focus on delivering inclusive play-based learning programs and supporting children’s development.

You will observe and assess progress, collaborate with families and colleagues, and ensure alignment with NQF and EYLF standards. A Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education is required, along with First Aid and a Working with

Qualifications

• 1+ year of work experience in early childhood education.
• First Aid certification and a Working with Children Check/Blue Card.
• National Child Safety training completed.
• Desirable: Asthma & Anaphylaxis and Child Protection Training.

Responsibilities

• Design inclusive, play-based learning programs that foster development.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
• Observe, assess and document learning progress to inform planning.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and staff.
• Promote language and literacy through storytelling and role play.
• Ensure compliance with NQF and EYLF.
• Lead and mentor educators to maintain high quality practice.
• Communicate effectively with families about progress and milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing inclusive, play based learning programs that foster children’s development.
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports children’s social, emotional and cognitive growth.
• Observing, assessing, and documenting children’s learning progress to inform curriculum planning.
• Building strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to enhance learning outcomes.
• Promoting language and literacy development through storytelling, role play and interactive experiences.
• Ensuring compliance with the NQF and EYLF.
• Leading and mentoring educators to maintain high quality early childhood education and care.
• Communicating effectively with families to discuss children’s progress, needs, and developmental milestones.

What You’ll Need:

• At least 1 year of work experience
• Early Childhood Teaching Degree or Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
