Looking for a change of pace and an opportunity to make a genuine difference?

Tradewind Australia is partnering with a regional early learning service in Tangambalanga, between Albury and Wodonga, to recruit a passionate Early Childhood Teacher for a full-time, ongoing position commencing in January 2027.

With a $21,000 DET location incentive, potential relocation assistance and support to help you settle into the local community, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT looking to make a move and become part of a close-knit regional service.

The opportunity

You’ll be joining an established early learning service, working with a mixed group of approximately 19 children aged 3-5 years across funded and non-funded kindergarten programs.

This is a hands-on teaching role where you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with children and families, contribute to the educational program and become an important part of the local community.

The service is looking for someone who wants to make a long-term commitment and provide consistency for children and families.

You’ll also have four hours of dedicated planning time each week to support your programming, observations and documentation.

What you’ll be doing
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating an engaging, play-based educational program.

  • Supporting children’s individual learning, development and transition to school.

  • Working with a mixed-age group of 3-5-year-old children across funded and non-funded programs.

  • Creating an inclusive, safe and stimulating learning environment.

  • Building strong, positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

  • Completing observations, assessments and educational documentation.

  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to support quality outcomes.

  • Providing responsible-person and 2IC support where required.

  • Ensuring practices align with the EYLF, National Quality Framework and child safety requirements.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be a passionate and committed Early Childhood Teacher who enjoys building relationships, working within a small community and taking ownership of an engaging educational program.

You’ll also bring:

  • A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification, or a postgraduate teaching qualification specialising in early childhood.

  • Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.

  • Experience delivering quality kindergarten programs.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team.

  • A genuine commitment to children’s learning, development and wellbeing.

  • A commitment to staying in the role and providing consistency for children and families.

Work rights: Candidates with full Australian working rights are preferred. Candidates on temporary visas with their own pathway to ongoing work rights may also be considered. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What’s on offer?
  • Full-time, ongoing employment.

  • Salary in accordance with the Educational Services (Teachers) Award, with remuneration considered based on experience.

  • $21,000 DET location incentive, paid in instalments over a two-year period.

  • Potential relocation assistance depending on individual circumstances.

  • Four hours of dedicated planning time each week.

  • A supportive, community-focused regional service.

  • Assistance with local accommodation and real estate contacts to help you settle into the area.

  • The opportunity to make a genuine difference in a smaller regional community.

Working arrangements
  • Full-time, five days per week preferred.

  • Roster coverage between 7:30am and 6:00pm.

  • January 2027 commencement, ideally in the first or second week.

  • An earlier mid-December start may be considered for onboarding.

Location

Tangambalanga is a regional community located between Albury and Wodonga, approximately 15 minutes from Wodonga CBD and 20 minutes from Albury CBD.

A car is essential due to limited public transport options.

If you’re considering relocating, the service is happy to assist with local accommodation contacts and connections within the community. Candidates are also encouraged to visit the service and surrounding area before making a decision.
