Tradewind Australia partners with a welcoming regional kindergarten to place an Early Childhood Teacher in Birchip, Mallee Region. This permanent part-time role is 30 hours per week, with 20 hours of direct teaching and 10 hours of planning time, under VECTEA conditions.

There is scope to take on additional Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor responsibilities as part of a rewarding career in a small community with strong family connections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Current VIT registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
• Previous paid experience as an Early Childhood Teacher.
• Understanding of EYLF and Victorian kindergarten requirements.
• Ability to plan and deliver high-quality educational programs.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A commitment to child safety and wellbeing.

About the Role

Working across both the funded 3 and 4 Year Old Kindergarten programs, you'll play an important role in delivering engaging, inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

The kindergarten also offers an additional five hours for its vulnerable cohort, providing further opportunity to support children and families who benefit from additional assistance.

You'll have the opportunity to shape the learning environment, work collaboratively with your colleagues and build strong relationships with families and the wider community.

For the right person, there is scope to take on additional Educational Leader and Nominated Supervisor responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

You will be an experienced Early Childhood Teacher who is passionate about early learning and enjoys building genuine connections with children, families and colleagues.

You’ll also bring:

• A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent recognised qualification.

• Current VIT registration or eligibility to obtain registration.

• Previous paid experience working as an Early Childhood Teacher, outside of student placement.

• A sound understanding of the EYLF and Victorian kindergarten requirements.

• Confidence planning and delivering high-quality educational programs.

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

• A genuine commitment to child safety and wellbeing.

Experience in Educational Leadership or Nominated Supervisor responsibilities would be advantageous, but is not essential.
