Job summary

The Department of Education is seeking an Early Childhood Performance and Planning Advisor to understand community needs and build capacity among service providers, focusing on vulnerable children and families across Bayside Peninsula. Based in Frankston or East Bentleigh, this 0.5 FTE fixed term role starts 26 October 2026 and runs to 16 July 2027.

You will lead partnerships, manage service agreements and contribute to local education policy and program delivery.

Qualifications

• Desirable: A relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or a related field.
• Knowledge of the early childhood sector, community development or a related field is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to contribute to broad service system planning and funding processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to service providers to enable effective delivery of funded programs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Local Government and kindergarten service providers.
• Ensure access to high-quality early childhood education and care for all children and families.
• Manage service agreements between the Department of Education and funded organisations.
