Job summary

Empowered Little Minds in Elderslie, NSW, is seeking passionate Early Childhood Educators to join our team in a full-time capacity. You will deliver high-quality care, education and support that fosters children's wellbeing, learning and development, while collaborating with families and the community to create nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

Qualifications

  • Current Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification, or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • WWCC clearance, First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development theories and play-based learning.
  • Excellent communication with children, families and colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate learning activities and experiences that support children's development.
  • Provide direct care and supervision to children, including daily activities.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive environment that meets regulatory standards.
  • Build positive relationships with children and families, fostering two-way communication.
  • Observe and assess children's development and share progress with families and colleagues.
  • Support children’s wellbeing and behaviour through positive guidance and responsive practices.
  • Contribute to centre policies, health, safety and risk management protocols.
  • Participate in professional development and reflective practice to improve skills.
  • Collaborate with staff to create a cohesive team environment.

About the role

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educators to join our team at Empowered Little Minds in Elderslie, NSW. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's lives during their formative years. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality care, education and support that promotes children's wellbeing, learning and development. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, families and the wider community to create nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan, implement and evaluate engaging, age-appropriate learning activities and experiences that support children's physical, emotional, social, cognitive and language development
  • Provide direct care and support to children, including supervision, personal care routines and assistance with daily activities
  • Maintain a safe, clean, healthy and inclusive environment that meets relevant regulatory standards and legislation
  • Build positive relationships with children and their families, fostering two-way communication and collaboration
  • Observe and assess children's development and progress, maintaining accurate records and sharing information with families and colleagues
  • Support children's wellbeing and behaviour management through positive guidance and responsive practices
  • Contribute to and implement centre policies and procedures, including health, safety and risk management protocols
  • Participate in professional development and engage in reflective practice to continuously improve your skills and knowledge
  • Collaborate with fellow educators and staff members to create a cohesive team environment
What we're looking for
  • Current Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification, or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance or willingness to obtain one
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain these qualifications)
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development theories and play-based learning approaches
  • Excellent communication skills with children, families and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to create inclusive, safe and engaging learning environments
  • Passion for supporting children's growth and development and commitment to quality early childhood education
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst also working independently
  • Understanding of and compliance with relevant legislation, including the National Quality Standard and the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Experience in early childhood education settings is highly valued
