The Victorian Government's Department of Education is seeking graduates for classroom teaching roles at California Gully Primary School, near Bendigo. The position focuses on delivering curricula with literacy and numeracy emphasis, under guidance and with structured support for new entrants.

Range 1 classroom teachers will manage classes, contribute to school policies, and participate in professional learning and mentoring.

Formación

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including literacy and numeracy.
• Ability to implement high-impact teaching strategies and evaluate their impact on student learning.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning using data and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, colleagues and the school community.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and implement teaching programs or courses of study.
• Teach an area of the curriculum to a year level.
• Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in key learning areas.
• Implement strategies to achieve targets for student learning outcomes.
• Maintain records of attendance and student progress.
• Maintain effective student management in line with school policy.
• Work with a mentor on professional development and portfolio development.
• Supervise student activities and contribute to co-curricular programs.
