Job summary

Mildura English Language Centre (MELC), a campus of Mildura Senior College, is part of the Victorian Government education system. Qualifications

Experience supporting teachers and students in EAL programs.

Responsibilities

Support student learning individually or in groups under teacher direction.
Translate between teachers and non-English speaking students in the classroom.
Translate communications with non-English speaking parents during enrolment and conferences.
Assist in translating school documents and resources, including interpreting services.
Liaise with external support services, teachers, students, and families.
Provide teachers with insights into students' cultural backgrounds where possible.
Assist with health and wellbeing support tasks as appropriate.
