Zusammenfassung

Carey is seeking an experienced EAL Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of high-quality English as an Additional Language (EAL) programs across our Melbourne campuses. This part-time role (0.6FTE) runs for 1 year with potential renewal and involves strategic leadership, staff mentoring, and data-informed practice.

Reporting to the Head of Learning Area – English, you will coordinate EAL planning, assessment, targeted interventions, and professional learning to build staff capability

Qualifikationen

Recognised teaching qualification with TESOL/EAL major or equivalent.
Experience teaching or coordinating EAL programs, ideally in Australian schools.
Strong knowledge of EAL frameworks, assessment and inclusive teaching.
Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
Experience in program implementation, data analysis, and staff coaching.
Current VIT registration.

Aufgaben

Lead planning, implementation and evaluation of EAL programs.
Coordinate assessment, tracking and reporting for EAL students.
Supervise EAL teachers and provide professional learning.
Develop Individual EAL Learning Plans when required.
Use data to drive program development and improvements.
Maintain EAL teaching load as advised.
