Job summary

Global Engineering and Construction (Brisbane) is seeking experienced E&I Technicians and Hazardous Areas Electricians for the Santos CMS Project in the Cooper Basin. The role offers a 2:2 FIFO roster, with focus on installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning of electrical/instrumentation systems on critical oil and gas infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted Australian Electrical Licence.
• Experience as an E&I Technician and/or Hazardous Areas Electrician in heavy industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation, electrical systems and process control.
• Experience commissioning, testing and fault finding.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and loop diagrams.
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
• Current White Card and Driver’s Licence.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We’re growing our team and are seeking experienced E&I Technicians and Hazardous Areas Electriciansto support the delivery of the Santos CMS Projectin the Cooper Basin.

Working a 2:2 FIFO roster, you’ll play a key role in the installation, maintenance, testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems across critical oil & gas infrastructure. With purpose, respect and a driven mindset, you’ll contribute by:

• Install, maintain, test and commission electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical and instrumentation equipment.
• Conduct loop checks, calibration, fault finding and commissioning activities.
• Install and maintain hazardous area electrical equipment in accordance with relevant standards.
• Interpret electrical schematics, loop diagrams, P&IDs and technical drawings.
• Troubleshoot faults across instrumentation, control and electrical systems.
• Complete maintenance records, testing documentation and quality inspections.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site safety procedures, permits and compliance requirements.

Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:

• Unrestricted Australian Electrical Licence.
• Experience working as an E&I Technician and/or Hazardous Areas Electrician within oil & gas, energy, mining or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation, electrical systems and process control.
• Experience commissioning, testing and fault finding.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and loop diagrams.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
• Current White Card and Driver’s Licence.
• Full Australian working rights.
