Job summary

VAT Talent Pty Ltd is seeking a Dynamics 365 Functional Business Analyst to join a client team in Sydney on a 12-month fixed term. The role centers on Finance & Operations and involves close collaboration with finance and operations stakeholders to map current ways of working, shape the D365 solution, and ensure successful build, testing and handover.

You will document processes, run fit-gap analysis, and configure core FinOps modules while supporting data migration, integrations and UAT.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a functional BA in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (or AX).
Strong knowledge of finance processes: GL, AP, AR, fixed assets.
Experience running workshops and shaping solution design in D365 F&O.

Responsibilities

Run workshops with finance, procurement and operations stakeholders to capture requirements and scope.
Document current/future state processes and perform fit-gap analyses against D365 F&O.
Write functional specs, user stories and acceptance criteria for developers/testers.
Configure and support setup of core FinOps modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash/Bank, Procurement, Inventory).
Support data migration, mapping, cleansing rules and reconciliation.
Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, reporting and security roles.
Plan and execute UAT, triage defects and support go-live/hypercare.
Prepare training material and handover to the business.
Keep stakeholders updated on progress, risks and decisions.
