Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in Australia is seeking an experienced Warehouse/Stores operative with forklift credentials to manage material movements, stock counts and inventory accuracy within a busy warehousing environment. You will coordinate with logistics providers, ensure documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe, compliant workplace.

The role requires a current forklift licence and driver licence, with exposure to ERP systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience within a manufacturing or services warehousing environment.
• Effective organisational, time management, multi-tasking, and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems.
• Current Driver Licence and Forklift Licence.
• Desirable: First Aid, Fire Warden, Overhead Gantry Crane

Responsibilities

• Comply with EHS & Quality requirements per Wabtec policies.
• Conduct material movements, forklift operations, goods receipting, and coordinate with logistics providers for collection/despatch.
• Conduct stock takes and/or cycle counts.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and material traceability through stores processes and system transactions.
• Ensure documentation and data entry for stores and warehouse tasks are complete and accurate.
• Escalate issues and provide recommendations to site leadership on EHS, quality, and continuous improvement.
