Job summary

The Department of Education Victoria Bright campus is seeking a classroom teacher to deliver high-quality instruction for P-12 students. The role spans across Range 1 and Range 2 classifications, promoting engaging learning experiences in a supportive school community.

You will plan, implement and assess learning programs, use data to inform teaching, and collaborate with families and staff to support student achievement and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• Proven ability to monitor and assess student learning using data to inform practice.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, parents and colleagues.
• Awareness of Department values and commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum programs.
• Undertake other classroom teaching duties as required by the school.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Support literacy and numeracy development and student wellbeing.
