Job summary

Staughton College in Victoria seeks a Classroom Teacher for Maths/Science to join our outstanding team in 2027. You will plan, prepare and deliver high-quality programs, use data to inform teaching, and support students’ learning and wellbeing.

Role includes both Range 1 and Range 2 responsibilities, collaboration with staff and parents, mentoring, and contributing to curriculum development and school priorities under the Department of Education.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning and delivering high-impact teaching strategies guided by how students learn.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning and using data to inform practice.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individual students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation.
• Undertake other classroom teaching-related duties and organisational tasks as required.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Mentor and supervise student teachers and support staff in professional practice.
