Job summary

Mount Beauty Secondary College is inviting applications from qualified classroom teachers to contribute to high-quality teaching across Year levels. The role focuses on planning, preparing and delivering programs to achieve student outcomes, with opportunities to support school priorities and policies.

Range 1 and Range 2 classroom teachers will mentor staff, engage in professional learning, and use data to inform teaching approaches to improve learning growth and achievement for students.

Qualifications

• Teachers must be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
• LANTITE literacy and numeracy requirements must be demonstrated where applicable.
• Postgraduate level initial teacher education program accreditation as required in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum areas or programs.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related and organisational duties as determined by the Principal.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
• Undertake other non-teaching supervisory duties.
