Job summary

St Albans Secondary College in Victoria seeks a classroom teacher to deliver high-quality instruction from Year 7 onwards, align with the department's standards, and support student learning across literacy and numeracy.

You will contribute to school programs, use data to inform teaching, mentor colleagues, and participate in student wellbeing initiatives and excursions as part of a collaborative, values-driven education environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning high-impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• Experience using data to inform teaching and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative relationships.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Direct teaching of groups and individuals to achieve learning outcomes.
• Contribute to curriculum development and evaluation within the school.
• Undertake other teaching and organisational duties as required by leadership.
• Engage with parent meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
