Job summary

Belgravia Leisure in Torquay, VIC, is seeking a Duty Manager to oversee safety, evacuation and daily operations across the stadium, café, aquatics, health club, and events. The role includes leading customer service staff and managing programmes in the absence of the Centre Manager.

Initially you will manage the stadium operations with plans to expand to aquatic operations at the Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation centre from early 2027.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership experience and ability to inspire others.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of WHS guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures.
• Demonstrated plant room management and pool operations experience.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Current First Aid (Level 2) and CPR certificate.
• Working with Children's Check clearance.
• National Police Check clearance.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Current Pool Operations Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety, evacuation and operation of the centre in the absence of the Centre Manager.
• Direct day-to-day operations of the cafe, aquatics, health club, sports programmes, private hires, events and customer service staff.
• In early 2027 expand to aquatic operations at the Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation centre.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the existing stadium.
