Job summary

EVT Group is seeking a Duty Manager in Adelaide to lead daily hotel operations in the absence of senior management and keep guests happy while ensuring profitable operations. You’ll focus on Front Office performance, guest satisfaction, and cross-department coordination.

The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and problem-solving skills, with a pro-active, service-driven mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement. Training and development are supported within EVT’s network.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you’ll lead daily hotel operations in the absence of senior management, keeping guests happy, the Front Office team strong and the hotel running profitably.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth coordination across departments.
• Lead and support the Front Office team, maintaining high service standards and guest satisfaction.
• Act as the primary contact for guest issues, resolving complaints professionally and promptly.
• Maximise room occupancy and revenue through effective rate and yield strategies.
• Ensure compliance with WH&S, security protocols and crisis management procedures.
• Support training, staff development and performance tracking.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience in hotel operations, particularly within Front Office.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

• Financial acumen and understanding of yield management strategies.
