Job summary

Dakabin Hotel is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to lead the front-line operations of a busy hospitality venue. You will oversee day-to-day operations with senior management, driving guest experience, training and financial performance.

This hands-on leadership role requires flexibility across days, nights and weekends. RSA and RMLV certifications are required; success means shaping a vibrant, high-performing team in a growing hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager or in a similar hospitality management role.
• Proven track record of operational success and strong business performance.
• Experience in high-volume bar, restaurant and gaming operations.
• Strong Food and Beverage focus and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest service.
• Ability to lead, motivate and support teams across multiple departments.
• Hands-on approach to mentoring and developing management teams.
• Confidence in coaching, providing constructive feedback and delivering ongoing team training.
• Oversee service delivery and ensure all operational procedures, standards and compliance requirements are met.
• Strong commercial awareness, including cost control and achieving financial targets without compromising guest experience or team culture.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced Duty Manager to lead from the front and oversee the day-to-day operations of a diverse, high-volume hospitality venue.

Working closely with the senior management team, you'll play a key role in driving operational performance across people, product, training, guest experience and financial outcomes.

With a strong focus on Food and Beverage, you'll lead our front-of-house and back-of-house teams through key service periods, ensuring exceptional standards of service, compliance and operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys developing people and understands what it takes to run a successful hospitality operation.

The role requires flexibility to work across days, nights and weekends. It's not for the faint-hearted, but for the right candidate, it offers a genuinely rewarding and career-defining opportunity to grow within an ambitious hospitality group.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Exceptional attention to detail and a relentless drive for continuous improvement.

• Rostering capabilities and previous stock management experience.

• Experience coordinating entertainment, performers and venue activations.

• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.

• Current Responsible Management of Licensed Venues (RMLV) certification.
