Randstad, in partnership with ALPA, seeks dedicated retail couples to manage stores in remote Outback Northern Territory. You will lead daily operations and drive community-focused outcomes, aligning with local needs and safety standards.

The role offers meaningful community impact and a strong path toward leadership. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, ensure stock integrity, and maintain excellent customer service while living in a remote Australian setting.

Formación

• At least 2 years of experience in retail or similar fast-paced environments
• Proficient with electronic retail systems for POS, stock control, and staff management
• Ability to adapt to remote/regional settings
• Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to cultural awareness

Responsabilidades

• Support Store Manager in day-to-day operations and adhere to a fortnightly roster including weekends/evenings
• Unload pallets, restock shelves, and perform manual handling tasks
• Manage closing procedures and reconcile end-of-day cash
• Provide coaching and training to local staff to foster routine and meaningful employment
• Support cafe or takeaway operations while upholding strict food safety standards
• Participate in stocktakes, safety audits, and compliance checks
• Contribute to long-term store viability and best practices
• Commit to a 6-12 month development pathway to progress toward Store Management

About your next role

Reporting to the Store Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the store to ensure community needs for nutrition, safety, and essential goods are met.

• Support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations and follow a fortnightly roster including weekends and evenings
• Take responsibility for physical tasks including unloading pallets, restocking shelves, and manual handling
• Manage store closing procedures and the reconciliation of end-of-day cash
• Provide coaching and training to local store staff to encourage routine and meaningful employment
• Support café or takeaway operations while maintaining strict food safety standards
• Participate in stocktakes, safety audits, and compliance checks to ensure long-term viability
• Commit to a 6-12 month development pathway to grow into a Store Management role

What you will need to bring

• You will be a resilient leader with a hands-on approach and a deep respect for cultural diversity.
• At least 2 years of experience in retail or a similar fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in using electronic retail systems for point of sale, stock control, and staff management
• High level of adaptability and the ability to thrive in remote or regional settings
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to cultural awareness
• Proven ability to manage a diverse team and drive positive community outcomes
